Happy Wednesday Reader, When we travel to England to source for The Found Collection, we do a lot of fair shopping. If you've ever wondered what one of these events look like, you're gonna love today's new video over on YouTube ☺️ I take you along with me to the Lincoln Antique and Home Decorative Fair, so you can see all the fun things we spotted while out hunting. And the video also has a bit of footage from historic downtown Lincoln, including the Lincoln Cathedral and Castle, as well as some sneak peeks of what we have coming in our container. Tips for Shopping at Fairs or Flea MarketsFall is a great season to head out to flea market events all over the US. In fact, a few weeks ago I sent out a list of some of the biggest and best markets coming up in September & October (it's down there in in your inbox, if you missed it 😉) Here are a few of my best tips for how to make the most of these events: 👉 Make a big loop first. If the show isn't gigantic, I like to start by doing a quick pass through the main event, looking for showstopper items that may sell early. Then after that, I head back to look at vendors' spaces more closely. 👉 Toss packing paper in your cart. Not all vendors will package up items for you, so bring some paper or bubble wrap along to help protect breakable items while you shop. 👉 Bring cash. Some vendors at these events will take credit cards, but cash always gets you the best deal and more bargaining power. 👉 Piles mean deals. Often the more curated a stall is, the pricier the items will be. This isn't always true of course, but I usually find my best deals when I'm willing to dig a bit. 👉 Wear a smile and say hello! Events like these are great opportunities to make connections with sellers and other vintage lovers. Enjoying the community is one of my favorite parts of flea market shopping.
