We have a little old dog who will be 14 in about 2 months. For the past two days in a row, he has somehow managed to take a swim in our pool.

I haven't actually seen it happen either time . . .he just shows up soaking wet at the back door with a trail of water behind him, leading straight to the pool steps.

He's a great little dog, but he's never been a swimmer.

So the first time it happened, I assumed he fell in. He likes to wander around the edge and sniff in the mulch.

But the second time it happened . . . I mean, what are the odds he would fall into the pool two days in a row? 🧐

I actually had the door partly open, and I didn't hear a splash.

Just another wet dog at the door 🤷🏼‍♀️

Honestly, it's a mystery what's going on here. But today I'm gonna watch him like a hawk.

I like the idea though that maybe he's getting in on purpose . . . like he's just now decided in his elder years it's time to enjoy a refreshing swim in the evenings.

Kinda blows up the whole "can't teach an old dog new tricks" thing, you know? 😅

And speaking of trying new things . . .

Over on the blog today I'm sharing my review of a new paint I tried.

It's called Alchemy, and it's made by Fusion Mineral Paint.

It's their version of a chalk-type paint, and I used it to makeover a thrifted side table recently. It turned out really cute and sold within a few days of getting into my booth.

I have about 10 more new items to photograph and list this week, including two budget-friendly quilts. Hopefully those will be up by Friday.
