Hey there Reader, Is it just me, or do you feel like everything is telling you to hurry up? We live in a world that is more fast-paced than ever. And don't get me wrong . . . I love the convenience of being able to shop for groceries on my phone while watching my kid's basketball game. Multi-tasking is a key tool for mom life, right? 🤗 But just because we can do more faster doesn't mean we always should. There's a phrase going around right now called Slow Decorating. It embraces this idea of how faster is not always better, especially when it comes to curating a warm home that blesses your family and your guests. So what if your home doesn’t need to be finished right now? What if it’s okay, actually better, to let it come together slowly? To save your money, wait for the right pieces, and choose things with a story instead of whatever’s trending this week? That’s what we're diving into today over on the blog: slow decorating—why it fits the reality of 2026, how it quietly pushes back against “haul culture,” and why vintage and handmade pieces make so much sense right now. If you’ve ever felt pressure to keep up, this one’s for you.
UK Bound in 2 weeks! 🇬🇧Two weeks from today I'll be landing in London 🤗 Pulling this trip together has been a lot of work, and I'm so grateful for all the help my two travel buddies have offered. I'll be honest though, I'm pretty nervous 😬 I am planning on buying a considerable amount of inventory this trip and it will be my first ever venture into the world of importing. Everything about this is a risk. Will the stuff I bring home sell? Will I pay too much? Will shipping be more than I expected? So. Many. Questions. But this trip signifies a bigger shift I am making this year in my business. I decided 2026 was the time to start trying to make my dreams happen. Maybe you can relate? I share a bit more on this Instagram reel. It's worth a quick watch if you've ever felt like you have goals but your own self-doubt is what's holding you back. January's Themed Collection is LiveAppreciate everyone being here this week. I enjoy this weekly time in your inbox 😊 Have a great, slow, rest of your week! |

Hey there Reader, Scrolling around online looking or flipping through decor magazines, you've probably noticed how often blue and white shows up. It’s one of those color combinations that has stuck around for centuries, and it still works in homes today without feeling trendy or overdone. I just shared a new blog post all about decorating with blue and white: where the look comes from, why it’s lasted so long, and some simple ways to incorporate it into your home without changing everything....
One of the things I love about sourcing in Europe is how everyday objects were made with a quiet kind of beauty. Not necessarily meant to be decorative… but made well enough that they become beautiful over time. A few small French pieces went live in the First Arrivals online shop today, and I thought I’d share a little about them. First are a pair of old painter’s palettes. They're amazing examples of how the process of making art can become art itself. Layered with years worth of oil paint,...
Happy Friday Reader! My England YouTube video just went live this morning 🇬🇧 To be completely honest, I wasn't sure I had filmed enough footage to even have a video to share, the trip was such a blur 🫠 So I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled my camera videos and found plenty of behind the scenes footage to make a video I'm really proud of. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And just fyi . . . at the 13:40 mark in the video I get pretty vulnerable and share more about this whole giant...
